POGGIO RUSCO – It will be Serie A amateurs. The long-awaited confirmation for all Dinamica fans arrived yesterday evening from the Poggese management. Today marks the expiry of the extension granted by the FIP to the red and white club for registration for the next championship. The Federation had granted Dinamica an extra week, considering the understandable organizational difficulties linked to the post-earthquake disruption. The club had the option of withdrawing from the DNA and could have competed again in the DNB championship, avoiding relegation to lower leagues as required by the regulations.
The long-awaited scenario finally materialized, with the management announcing that it wanted to do everything possible to honor the sensational sporting achievement of its athletes. The ONA title was won on June 17 in Rome, but victory in the playoff tournament is only the culmination of a much broader parabola that traces the entire season’s run. While waiting for the first moves in the transfer market (which are being worked on in great secrecy, ed.), the first official confirmations for next season concern coach Antonio Tinti and point guard Jordan Losi.
Breaking news: Walter Mantovani will remain captain of the team in the new championship. The 35-year-old point guard from Mirandola will wear the Dinamica jersey for the ninth year. “I am proud to be able to compete in the DNA championship, which is effectively the top Italian championship (without the foreigners of LegaA and LegaDue),“ were Mantovani’s first words after his confirmation. ”Like every year, I will give it my all and do my best, while as captain I will demand the same from my teammates. The most important thing will be to form and consolidate a good group in this category as well. We saw how important cohesion was in the most delicate moments of last season. I am happy for Poggio Rusco and I hope that this result will be a sign for all the nearby communities that have recently suffered,“ emphasized the captain. ”It is important to send the message that here, people do not give up. Unfortunately, I am sorry for those teammates who, due to bureaucratic and regulatory issues, will not be able to be part of the Serie A team. They are teammates and, above all, friends. I send them a hug and wish them good luck for the future.
Today, a RAI television crew will visit the Palazzetto and meet with the team’s management and technical staff. The goal and hope is to amplify the national echo of Dinamica’s achievement, which was won despite countless difficulties.
