Today marks the expiry of the extension granted by the FIP to the red and white club for registration for the next championship. The Federation had granted Dinamica an extra week, considering the understandable organizational difficulties linked to the post-earthquake disruption. The club had the option of withdrawing from the DNA and could have competed again in the DNB championship, avoiding relegation to lower leagues as required by the regulations.
The long-awaited scenario finally materialized, with the management announcing that it wanted to do everything possible to honor the sensational sporting achievement of its athletes. The ONA title was won on June 17 in Rome, but victory in the playoff tournament is only the culmination of a much broader parabola that traces the entire season’s run. While waiting for the first moves in the transfer market (which are being worked on in great secrecy, ed.), the first official confirmations for next season concern coach Antonio Tinti and point guard Jordan Losi.
