A recent evaluation conducted at Cornell University compared Total Mixed Ration (TMR) analyses performed using two Dinamica Generale AgriNIR units with laboratory results from Dairyland Laboratories.
Ten TMR samples were analyzed to verify the performance and reliability of the current NIR calibrations. The samples were scanned using portable AgriNIR analyzers before being sent to Dairyland Labs for additional NIR analysis and comparison.
The evaluation further supports the capability of portable NIR technology to provide accurate and reliable feed analysis directly on-farm, helping nutritionists and dairy producers monitor ration consistency and improve precision feeding management in real time.
