A brand from the Lower Mainland lands in the US. Dinamica Generale, for 20 years in Poggio, comes to America. Soon in Brazil and Russia
Andrea Ghiraldi’s Dinamica Generale S.r.l. these days opened Dinamica Generale U.S. Inc. in the U.S. state of Illinois, while offices in Brazil, Russia and Ukraine are also expected to see the light of day in the near future. Dinamica Generale S.r.l. produces weighing systems for the agricultural, livestock and biomedical fields, all with respect for the environment and the territory. The company has been cooperating with the Poggio Rusco basketball team for four years.
POGGIO RUSCO – When we arrive at the Dinamica Generale headquarters it is noon and we are a couple of minutes early. Some employees are leaving the plant. Almost all of them are wearing a dark blue polo shirt with “dinamica Generale” written in small print on the left and with lowercase initials.
The first thing that comes to mind is a reference to a sports team: same uniform, same compactness. Indeed, perhaps there is some convergence. After all, Dinamica Generale S.r.l. is the main sponsor of the “Stings – Pallacanestro Primavera,” the basketball team from Poggio Rusco that is usually referred to as “Dinamica Generale.”
We enter the offices. They kindly ask us to be patient for a few minutes. After a short time, Andrea Ghiraldi, owner of Dinamica Generale S.r.l., and Adriano Negri, patron of the Poggese basketball team, arrive at the same time.
The union between the basketball team and the company has lasted four years, and the partnership is heading toward its fifth. But Andrea Ghiraldi founded Dinamica Generale 20 years ago now.
“It was 1990,” he explains as he takes us on a brief tour inside the plant. “At that time I had only one employee, and I was working for another company. From 1998 to 2000, however, I worked part-time for the company where I was employed. So I was able to start investing in the company I owned.”
Since then it has been a steady crescendo. A few years ago Dinamica Generale expanded its Poggese plant by purchasing the land next door. Previously there had been a problem related to soil pollution, but today that area, reclaimed, houses the factory with the orange and blue Dinamica Generale branding.
Expansion in the territory, however, is little compared to the real growth of the Poggese company, which just these days opened Dinamica Generale U.S. Inc. in the U.S. state of Illinois, while offices in Brazil, Russia and Ukraine should also see the light of day in the near future.
“Our goal,” Andrea Ghiraldi further explains, “is internationalization: our employees also take foreign language courses. On April 30, the first shipment of material headed to China left.”
A few meters away, in the plant, a small German delegation watches their Italian colleagues grapple with machinery, most of it high-precision and requiring specific skills to operate.
In fact, Dinamica Generale S.r.l. manufactures weighing systems for the agricultural, livestock and biomedical sectors, all while respecting the environment.
“We produce no fumes,” Ghiraldi explains, “and we are in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 13485certifications.
But Dinamica Generale S.r.l. has had a presence in the Poggs area since the early 1990s.
“I believe that when a company sets up and expands in an area,” the owner emphasizes, “it should try to do something specifically for the area in which it operates. For example, our company has been cooperating with the Poggio Rusco basketball team for four years.”
And, as patron Adriano Negri also confirms:
“We are trying to invest in young people. The goal is to create a nursery and develop cooperative relationships with basketball teams in neighboring towns, both in the province of Mantua and the province of Modena.”
The collaboration between the “Stings – Pallacanestro Primavera” and Dinamica Generale S.r.l. is therefore confirmed for the next championship as well. On the season just ended, both Ghiraldi and Negri express satisfaction.
The arrival to the team last Thursday of Pesaro point guard Luca Pascucci represents a first step of the red-blue team toward the goals of the upcoming championship.
