Innovation and Technology: The Case of “Fusi Giovanni Farm”

The Fusi Giovanni Farm is a family-run business located in Calcinato (BS), Italy. The management is entrusted to a dedicated team: Giovanni, the all-rounder of the farm and his wife, responsible for accounting. Simone, in charge of livestock management, Leonardo, a valuable collaborator, Luca, responsible for agronomy and economic management.

The farm operates with around 130 milking cows, managed through robotic milking for over 10 years, and cultivates approximately 70 hectares, making it self-sufficient in forage production.

However, there was a need for a Decision Support System (DSS) for feeding and forage management, as well as a real-time qualitative analysis tool to ensure accurate ration preparation.

One of the most innovative solutions developed by this collaboration is the opening installation of EVONIR, allowing for greater flexibility and accuracy in analysis.

This cutting-edge feature enables the analysis of each feed component before loading it into the mixer. Thanks to real-time recipe adjustments via DTM app, the system ensures precise dry matter loading, optimizing feed efficiency.
